In the presence of HE Shama Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for
Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the
Olympics, the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care
& Special Needs has launched a project to develop sewing
workshops to be a permanent production line with support and
sponsorship from Al Masaood Tailoring, a subsidiary of Al
Masaood Oil & Gas. Its main objective is to empower and
integrate its people with special needs into the society.
Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special
Needs started to produce 10,000 bags for the Special Olympic
Games by joining hands of stakeholders in cooperation and
partnership with Al Masaood Tailoring.
A strategic cooperation agreement was signed between the
Organization and Al Masaood in order to enhance the production
and enhance interest in the development of the students' skills.
The agreement was signed by the Zayed Higher Organization for
Humanitarian Care & Special Needs, Abdullah Al-Humaidan, HE
Masaood Rahma Al Masaood, Vice Chairman of Al Masaood Group.
The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Hamad Ali Al Dhaheri
from the Community Development Department, HE Talal Al Hashimi,
(Executive Director of the UAE Special Olympics), and HE Eng.
Ibrahim Yousef Raml, (Board Member of the Zayed Higher
Organization for Humanitarian Care & Special Needs).
The agreement plans the production of 10,000 bags to be
delivered by the end of February of next year for distribution
to the participants of the Special Olympics World Games Abu
Dhabi 2019, which will be held in the capital from March 8th to
22nd under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin
Zayed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme
Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, with 7,000 athletes and 3,000
coaches representing more than 170 countries. The agreement will
provide Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and
Special Needs with all forms of support for the production of
full service. Al Masaood Tailoring will serve as the technical
arm through the presence of professional staff to train and
certify qualifications.
HE Abdullah Al-Humaidan mentioned the importance of the
strategic partnerships that connect the institution with the
governmental and private bodies, including Al Masaood Group
represented by Al Masaood Tailoring, as well as the partnership
with the Supreme Committee for Special Olympics Abu Dhabi 2019,
and its great role in providing and harnessing such
possibilities. It is a first of its kind in the Middle East,
which will be held in Abu Dhabi 2019. It is a humanitarian and
community mission, with its noble educational dimensions,
indicating that the UAE, with its wise leadership, humanitarian
approach, based on the foundations of peace, tolerance and
openness, pays great attention to caring for those who inspire
and provide all kinds of support and harness all energies to
realize their ambitions and aspirations.
On another hand, the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs signed a memorandum of understanding with Saaed for Traffic Systems on the establishment of the company's annual needs of uniforms for Saaed employees. Technical specifications and quantities required for the production of new sewing workshops will be provided by Al Masaood Tailoring.
HE Abdulla Abdul Ali Al Humaidan welcomed the cooperation with
Saaed Company for Traffic Systems and the inauguration of a line
of sewing and production of the company's employees.
The agreement covers the cooperation and exchange of mutual
knowledge between the two sides, training strategies and
educational needs. The Organization provides awareness and
training programs for the employees of the company in terms of
dealing with people with special needs, training them in sign
language, and as well as participation in media marketing and
logistics arrangements.
